Call for public submission

Do you have more to say about creative industries in the region or in your area ?

Evolve Network is now calling for public submissions which encompass the following questions:

1. What do you consider the strengths of weaknesses of and the opportunities and strengths facing creative industries in your area/the region currently ?

2. What creative industries projects do you consider have been successful in your area and why

3. What is on your creative industries wish list ?

4. How do audiences source creative industries in your area?

5. Anything else that you would like to add.

Another tasty opportunity BE QUICK

The Community Photobank Awards will be closing on Wednesday, 22 October. Why not take advantage of the spring weather, take some photos this weekend and submit them for your chance to share in $5000?

There are two prizes:

  • The most popular picture
  • The picture that best exemplifies the work of Australian community

Each prize will be worth $2,500. $1,000 for the photographer, and another $1,500 for the community group that nominates them.

Help us in our quest to build a gallery of photos that show the full extent of Australia's communities and the people who work with them - a free photo bank that can be drawn on by advocates, fundraisers, volunteers, newspapers, and writers.

ART IN THE PARK

This is a new happening at Unkya Reserve, Eungai under the guidance of the new committee and following on from the Unkya Spring Festival. The community group have formed Funkya @ Unkya which is an informal gathering on the last Sunday of the month bringing together artists, craftspeople, dabblers, musicians etc for an

expose of their wares and talents.

We are inviting artists to come along with their preferred medium to display and actively interact with others about their talents. You may even choose to bring your necessary tools and share your skills and talents, or consider a workshop. Children will be catered for with Creative activities and starting off we have Dreamworks – story telling, followed with an inspired art session.

We are inviting everyone in the valley to come along and enjoy an interesting and casual Sunday morning at Unkya Reserve. Food and drinks available. We will be serving breakfasts of bacon and eggs, toast, pancakes, scones and muffins with coffee, tea and chai.
